Fontic is delivering development management, project management and superintendent services for 90–100 Bridge Road, a mixed-use commercial and medical precinct occupying an entire block on the corner of Bridge Road and Verity Street, opposite Epworth Hospital in Richmond.
Designed by Wardle, the building integrates a fully fitted-out lower-level tenancy for Arnold Thomas & Becker Lawyers with upper floors accommodating radiology, pathology and other medical specialists. The radiology floor is purpose-built to house specialist imaging equipment, including MRI and CT, with the structural, shielding and services provisions these demand.
The site presented a demanding construction environment — a slope along Bridge Road, tight infill urban streets, and lifting operations carried out through existing overhead power lines — calling for a carefully engineered methodology to build within a constrained inner-city setting.
Fontic guided the project from development approval through delivery, securing the planning outcome at VCAT, administering the contract as superintendent, and supporting the client through lease negotiations and tenancy agreements.
